But the milestone went beyond wickets alone. Pandya also entered a rare global bracket of T20I all-rounders with 1,000-plus runs, 100-plus sixes and 100-plus wickets in the format. He now stands alongside Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza, Afghanistan’s Mohammed Nabi and Malaysia’s Virandeep Singh — and carved out a unique sub-category by becoming the first fast-bowling all-rounder in history to achieve the double of 1,000 T20I runs and 100 wickets.
