'Excellent overall health': White House releases Donald Trump's MRI exam amid speculations

Ending speculations over President Donald Trump’s health that started after he underwent an MRI exam, the White House released the report of the exam which declared 79-year-old Trump to be in “excellent overall health”. Presidential physician Dr Sean Barbabella released a memo describing the October exam as standard and its findings as “perfectly normal.”“As part of President Donald J. Trump’s comprehensive executive physical, advanced imaging was performed because men in his age group benefit from a thorough evaluation of cardiovascular and abdominal health,” Barbabella wrote.“President Trump’s cardiovascular imaging is perfectly normal. There is no evidence of arterial narrowing impairing blood flow or abnormalities in the heart of major vessels. The heart chambers are normal in size, the vessel walls appear smooth and healthy, and there are no signs of inflammation, or clotting,” the memo said. “His abdominal imaging is also perfectly normal. All major organs appear very healthy and well-perfused. Everything evaluated is functioning with normal limits with noacute or chronic concerns,” it added.Trump underwent an MRI test on October 10 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The White House released Barbabella’s memo after Trump on Sunday said he would release the results of the scan. He and the White House have said the scan was “part of his routine physical examination” but had declined until Monday to detail why Trump had an MRI. “It was just an MRI,” Trump said earlier. “What part of the body? It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and I aced it,” he said as reporters asked him what the MRI was for.
