Rohit Sharma produced another chapter of his remarkable white-ball career as he became the leading six-hitter in ODI history during the first match against South Africa in Ranchi. The former India captain hammered his 352nd six, pulling Marco Jansen into the stands with his trademark short-arm power, surpassing Shahid Afridi’s long-standing tally of 351. Their stand came off just 85 balls, with both batters scoring freely against the South African attack. Individually, Virat Kohli continued to extend his dominance at home. He now has 59 ODI scores of fifty or more in India, the most by any batter in home conditions. Sachin Tendulkar follows with 58, showing just how consistent Kohli has been through his career. Rohit also entered this list with 37 such scores, matching Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara.Rohit eventually got dismissed on the score of 57, trapped lbw by Marco Jansen.
