GGW Squad WPL 2026: Gujarat Giants Women Full Players List, Team Squad and Updates

Gujarat Giants secured two major signings at the Women’s Premier League 2025 auction. They acquired New Zealand’s Sophie Devine for Rs 2 crore and Indian pacer Renuka Singh Thakur for Rs 60 lakh.Sophie Devine, who took a mental health break after New Zealand’s T20 World Cup victory and missed the previous WPL season, drew attention when Gujarat Giants started bidding at Rs 50 lakh.Royal Challengers Bengaluru attempted to retain their all-rounder, but Giants raised the bid to Rs 1 crore. Delhi Capitals then entered the bidding at Rs 1.1 crore.A competitive bidding ensued between Gujarat Giants and Delhi Capitals. The bid increased from Rs 1.2 crore to Rs 1.3 crore before Giants made the winning bid of Rs 2 crore.Devine, known for her power-hitting abilities and leadership experience, became one of the auction’s highest-valued players.Gujarat Giants also acquired India’s new-ball specialist Renuka Singh Thakur. The bidding for Thakur started at Rs 40 lakh and concluded at Rs 60 lakh.Despite her injury concerns, Thakur remains one of India’s most effective swing bowlers.These acquisitions of a T20 World Cup-winning all-rounder and India’s leading swing bowler have strengthened Gujarat Giants’ roster for WPL 2025.
