South Africa have appointed Temba Bavuma as captain for their upcoming three-match ODI series against India. However, leading fast bowler Kagiso Rabada will return home to recover from a rib injury sustained during training before the current Test series.Bavuma is currently leading the South African team in their two-match Test series against India.Quinton de Kock, who recently came out of ODI retirement, has been included in the squad. He was named player of the ODI series against Pakistan after scoring 232 runs in three innings, including one century and two half-centuries.Luhan de Pretorius, despite being South Africa’s second-highest run-scorer in the Pakistan ODI series, has not been selected for the India series.The three-match ODI series between India and South Africa is scheduled from November 30 to December 6.Aiden Markram will return as T20I captain, replacing Donnovan Ferreria, after being rested for the Pakistan T20Is following his leadership in the Test series.
