IND vs SA: Temba Bavuma to captain South Africa against India in ODIs; T20I skipper also revealed

South Africa have appointed Temba Bavuma as captain for their upcoming three-match ODI series against India. However, leading fast bowler Kagiso Rabada will return home to recover from a rib injury sustained during training before the current Test series.Bavuma is currently leading the South African team in their two-match Test series against India.Quinton de Kock, who recently came out of ODI retirement, has been included in the squad. He was named player of the ODI series against Pakistan after scoring 232 runs in three innings, including one century and two half-centuries.Luhan de Pretorius, despite being South Africa’s second-highest run-scorer in the Pakistan ODI series, has not been selected for the India series.The three-match ODI series between India and South Africa is scheduled from November 30 to December 6.Aiden Markram will return as T20I captain, replacing Donnovan Ferreria, after being rested for the Pakistan T20Is following his leadership in the Test series. He has also been named in the ODI squad for the India series.Experienced left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj has made a comeback to the white-ball teams after missing the Pakistan series.Fast bowler Anrich Nortje, who hasn’t played internationally since the T20 World Cup final against India last year, has been selected for the T20I series.South Africa and India will compete in a five-match T20I series starting December 9.South Africa Squad for ODIs: Temba Bavuma (captain), Ottineil Baartman, Matthew Breetzke, Dewald Brevis, Nandre Burger, Quinton de Kock, Tony de Zorzi, Rubin Hermann, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, Lungi Ngidi, Ryan Rickelton, Prenelan Subrayen.South Africa Squads for T20Is: Aiden Markram (captain), Ottineil Baartman, Corbin Bosch, Dewald Brevis, Quinton de Kock, Tony de Zorzi, Donnovan Ferreria, Reeza Hendricks, Marco Jansen, George Linde, Keshav Maharaj, Kwena Maphaka, David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, Tristan Stubbs.
