Jemimah, who came in at No. 3, played one of the finest innings of her career, anchoring India’s chase of 339, which is also the highest successful pursuit in Women’s World Cup history. Her 167-run partnership with skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (89) was the foundation of India’s win. Speaking after the match, Jemimah reflected on her composure during the chase. “I was telling Harry di (Harmanpreet) that we both have to finish it,” she said. “When that (Harmanpreet’s dismissal) happened, it was like a blessing in disguise for me because I was kind of losing focus because of tiredness. But when Harman got out, I think that added more responsibility to me.”
