Palestinian refugee rants against ‘white people’ over gory Halloween decorations in Canada: 'What's fun about...'

A Palestinian refugee living in Canada went on a rant against “white people” over Halloween decorations in her Montreal neighbourhood.Samar Alkhdour moved to Canada from Gaza and filmed herself calling out homes decorated with severed plastic body parts and fake blood for October 31 celebrations. “I just want to ask, is this ok? Is this how holidays look like?” she said in the viral clip ahead of the spooky season.Alkhdour appeared angered by a display featuring a blood-soaked head and severed feet. “Is this fing ok? What’s the fun about it? What is civilized about it? What is holiday about it?” she said before adding, “F you all. F*** you, white people. F*** you, westerners… I don’t know what to say, like, f*** everyone.”The activist is known for her pro-Palestine stance online. She faced instant backlash from Canadians who accused her of disrespecting the country that gave her refuge. People also said she doesn’t have to embrace every tradition, but openly cursing the very society that shelters her shows contempt for the values that made her refuge possible.Despite the backlash, Alkhdour later doubled down, sharing screenshots of the angry messages she received and insisting she stood by her comments.Alkhdour lives in Montreal with her husband and two children. She is a regular participant in anti-Israel protests across Canada. She was among three people charged with criminal harassment last year for allegedly targeting politician Marc Miller outside his campaign office during a protest, reports the New York Post.
