India dominated Kazakhstan with a remarkable 15-0 victory in the Asia Cup hockey tournament, securing their place in the Super 4 stage with a perfect record.Abhishek led the scoring with four goals in the 5th, 8th, 20th, and 59th minutes. These four teams will compete against each other, with the top two teams advancing to Sunday’s final.The scoring began when Sukhjeet intercepted the ball in Kazakhstan’s half and passed to Abhishek, who scored with a reverse shot from the circle’s edge.Abhishek quickly added his second goal using a forehand shot. Sukhjeet then scored off a free hit following a saved penalty corner attempt by Kazakhstan’s goalkeeper Yerzhan Yelubayev.Kazakhstan earned a penalty corner but failed to convert. India’s subsequent penalty corner saw Harmanpreet’s shot hit the post.Abhishek completed his hat-trick with a well-placed shot from a tight angle after receiving Harmanpreet’s pass. Kazakhstan’s second penalty corner attempt was successfully defended by India.India continued their offensive dominance with Jugraj and Harmanpreet scoring from penalty corners. Rohidas added another goal from a set piece just before halftime.The second half began with Jugraj converting a penalty stroke. Rajinder and Sukhjeet quickly added to India’s growing lead.India maintained control throughout the match, keeping play largely confined to Kazakhstan’s half. Jugraj completed his hat-trick with a penalty stroke in the fourth quarter.Sanjay scored from a penalty corner, followed by goals from Dilpreet Singh and Abhishek’s fourth goal in the final minute of play.In earlier action, Japan missed out on Super 4 qualification despite a 2-2 draw with China. China took an early lead with goals from Changliang Lin and Xiaojia Zhang.Japan mounted a comeback with Kazumasa Matsumoto scoring twice. Despite creating several opportunities in the final ten minutes, Japan couldn’t secure the winning goal needed to advance.The Japanese team’s late push for victory proved unsuccessful, allowing China to progress to the Super 4s based on superior goal difference.
