Arjun Tendulkar has been seen in public for the first time since news of his engagement with Saaniya Chandhok broke earlier this month. A photo circulating on social media shows the Tendulkar family — Sachin, his wife Anjali Tendulkar and Arjun — standing together in front of a Lord Ganesha idol, likely as part of Ganesh Chaturthi festivities. The picture has quickly gone viral, with fans noting it as Arjun’s first public outing following the engagement. They visited Raj Thackeray’s house in Mumbai today and had darshan of Ganpati Bappa. The news of Arjun’s engagement had initially spread online through reports, but was formally confirmed by his father, Sachin Tendulkar. During a recent Reddit Ask Me Anything session, the former India captain responded to a fan’s question with, “Yes he did and we are all very excited for the new phase in his life.”

Arjun, 25, exchanged rings with 26-year-old Saaniya on August 13 in a private ceremony attended only by close relatives and friends. Saaniya is the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai, whose Graviss Group runs food and hospitality ventures including Baskin Robbins’ India franchise and The Brooklyn Creamery. Despite the growing interest in the development, Arjun has maintained silence on social media. His last post came on August 9, a Raksha Bandhan wish for his sister, Sara Tendulkar. Neither family has yet shared details about wedding plans.
