An all-new Android phone is up for grabs for £1 – but you must act today


Fancy a new smartphone for a quid? Well, if you act right now that’s exactly what you could bag yourself. Honor has finally confirmed that’s it’s all new Magic V5 will finally launch in the UK tomorrow, August 28, and anyone registering their interest will have their name popped in a hat for the chance to grab it for £1.

UK pricing has yet to be revealed but we’re expecting the Magic V5 to cost well over £1,500 – that makes this competition well worth a go.

Not heard of the Magic V5?

This device, which has already launched is some other markets, is taking aim at Samsung and Google with it featuring a folding screen that opens like a book to reveal a massive tablet-style display.

To help make it feel more user friendly, Honor is boasting that its latest call maker is now one of the thinnest in the world it’s under 9mm once snapped shut. It’s also super light and weighs in at just 217g.

Under its shell is Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which not only supplies plenty of power but also very long battery life. It comes packed with AI smarts, features full access to Google’s Gemini Assistant and has a cover screen that’s as big as a standard smartphone.

Those worried about durability will be pleased to know that this device features “Super Armoured” reinforcement, and it also carries IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and splash resistance.

Other extras include a triple rear camera with a 64 MP periscope telephoto lens, there’s a large battery inside, and it supports super-fast charging.

Full details wil be announced during tomorrow’s UK launch event but if you fancy getting this phone for a £1 you’ve only got a few hours left to register.
