Actor Avneet Kaur has responded for the first time to the buzz around Virat Kohli liking one of her Instagram photos, an incident that quickly became a talking point online. At the trailer launch of her international project Love in Vietnam, Avneet was asked about receiving attention from prominent names on social media. Without naming anyone, she said with a smile, “Milta rahe pyaar... Aur kya hi keh sakti hoon (May I keep getting the love… what more can I say).” The comment came months after Kohli’s interaction with her post back in April set off speculation and memes. The former India captain had appeared to “like” a picture of Avneet in a lime green crop top and mini skirt, an action that did not go unnoticed by fans. Screenshots spread quickly, and chatter over the like dominated timelines. As the discussions gathered pace, questions were raised over whether the engagement was intentional. To put the matter to rest, Kohli himself issued a clarification on Instagram Stories. “I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding,” he wrote.

While the cricketer stressed that the “like” was a glitch, Avneet’s brief but cheerful remark at the event suggested she was happy to take the moment in stride.
