Aryan Khan set to ‘toast and roast’ in ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’

The much-awaited first look of Aryan Khan’s debut directorial ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ was unveiled by OTT giant Netflix on Sunday.

The show is a genre-defying series that blends self-awareness with cheeky humour. It promises a stylised yet chaotic world, provocative yet rooted, the official press release stated.

Written and created by Aryan in collaboration with Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, the show is produced under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, the production house helmed by Aryan’s parents Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan.

The show, which was announced on February 3 this year, follows the journey of a determined outsider and his friends as they make their way through the glamorous yet unpredictable world of Bollywood.

It features a star-studded cast comprising Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, and Gautami Kapoor.

“Zyaada hogaya? Aadat daal lo,” posted Netflix while sharing the teaser of ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ on its official X handle.

The teaser begins with Aryan saying his father SRK’s famous dialogue from the movie ‘Mohabbatein’.

“Ek ladki thi deewani si, ek ladke pe wo marti thi…” he says narrating the story of a boy and a girl in love with each other, before revealing that the girl gets run over by a truck.

Aryan then says his show will be equally “crazy”. This is followed by the glimpses of the show featuring Lakshya, Sahher, and Mona.

Adding his show will be all about Bollywood, he concludes by saying, “I am here to toast and roast.” ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ is executively produced by Bonnie Jain and Akshat Verma.
