U.S. President Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on former House speaker Nancy Pelosi and her husband Paul Pelosi, on Saturday, accusing them of profiting from “inside information” and claiming their 2024 stock market gains outpaced Wall Street’s top investors.Taking to his Truth Social, Trump called Pelosi a “disgusting degenerate” and demanded someone should investigate her.“Crooked Nancy Pelosi, and her very ‘interesting’ husband, beat every Hedge Fund in 2024. In other words, these two very average ‘minds’ beat ALL of the Super Geniuses on Wall Street, thousands of them. It’s all INSIDE iNFORMATION!” Trump wrote. He also mocked Pelosi for leading two failed impeachment efforts against him, writing, “Is anybody looking into this??? She is a disgusting degenerate, who Impeached me twice, on NO GROUNDS, and LOST! How are you feeling now, Nancy???”It is unclear what prompted Trump’s remarks. Pelosi, 85, has denied any wrongdoing. “Pelosi does not own any stocks and has no knowledge or subsequent involvement in any transactions,” spokesperson Ian Krager told The New York Post last month.Pelosi has long faced scrutiny over her husband Paul’s business dealings. An estimate from Quiver Quantitative puts her net worth at least $263.23 million, making her the fourth richest member of Congress. In 2024, Paul Pelosi’s trades reportedly outperformed the S&P 500’s 25% gain, delivering 54% returns, according to Bloomberg data. His moves included buying shares in Tempus AI at about $31.83 each before a $200 million deal with AstraZeneca pushed the price to $60.87. Other trades that drew attention involved NVIDIA, Palo Alto Networks, Vistra, and Microsoft. In one instance, he sold $2.2 million in Microsoft stock months before the Federal Trade Commission began an antitrust probe into the company.Pelosi has not announced whether she will run for reelection in 2026.
