Cummins had taken paternity leave from Australia’s current Test tour of Sri Lanka to be present for the birth of his daughter. The Australian skipper has been vocal about prioritising family alongside professional commitments and has advocated for a more balanced approach to work and personal life in international cricket.

“I missed a big chunk [of son Albie’s early days] last time and I want to work out how we can spend a bit more time at home for that initial period this time around,” Cummins had stated in October.
The fast bowler emphasised the importance of supporting players who need to put family first. “Within reason, no one is ever going to bat an eyelid if someone needs to put their family first,” he said.
Cummins and Becky were blessed with their first child, a son Albie, in 2021.
Meanwhile, Cummins has been ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan, which starts on February 19, as he continues to manage an injury.
