NEW DELHI: World No.1 all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja etched his name into the record books on Saturday, becoming the first Indian batter to score over 500 runs in a Test series while batting at No.6 or lower. The landmark came during Day 3 of the fifth and final Test against England at The Oval, as Jadeja continued his prolific run with the bat in the series.Live Score: India vs England 5th TestThe 36-year-old surpassed the previous Indian record of 474 runs at that position, held by VVS Laxman against West Indies in 2002. Earlier in the day, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a superb 118 — his second century of the series — helping India build a daunting lead over England. England, if they are to chase down the target and win the series 3-1, will need to break a record that has stood since 1902 — the highest successful fourth innings chase at The Oval being 263.
