Jon Bernthal to reprise his character of ‘The Punisher’ in ‘Spider-Man’ 4

The fourth chapter of the mega hit franchise – Spider-Man – will see a return of most of the leading characters, including Hollywood star Jon Bernthal, who plays the Marvel character of ‘The Punisher’.

Bernthal, popular for his roles in films that include ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, ‘Sicario’, ‘The Accountant’, ‘Baby Driver’, ‘Ford vs Ferrari’ and ‘The Many Saints of Newark’, will feature alongside main lead Tom Holland, who is also reprising his character of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, which he played in several MCU movies.

Meanwhile, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon also return as MJ and Ned in the fourth chapter, which is officially titled, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, as per entertainment news outlet, The Hollywood Reporter.

The story in the latest film is a sequel to the events that took place in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ which released in 2021 and in which, it was revealed to the entire world that Peter Parker was Spider-Man, followed by the erasure of the knowledge.

Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the latest feature, which will be shot in England this summer and released in the US theatres on July 31, 2026.

Bernthal first took on the role of Frank Castle aka The Punisher, back in 2016, debuting in the second season of Netflix’s, ‘Daredevil’. Owing to his popularity, he was rewarded with his own solo series.

The two shows and many other Marvel-centric projects were cancelled by Netflix in 2019.

Bernthal then made a return with the character in Marvel Studios’ most recent series, ‘Daredevil: Born Again’.
