India’s seamers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj both limped off the field before the Tea break on Day 3 of the fourth Test against England at Old Trafford in Manchester.Bumrah left the field after bowling just one over with the new ball after 90 overs in England’s inning. The seamer returned 20 minutes later but looked uncomfortable as he took the field. With each step taken, the 31-year-old struggled and grimaced with his left ankle looking a problem. Given he had spent time off the field, rules didn’t permit him to bowl until after the Tea break.

The problems compounded when Siraj, too, limped while bowling. He struggled to bowl his 22nd over of England’s inning and then walked off to get some much-needed treatment.Luckily for India, he returned to the field not long after as India’s chances of levelling the series started to get tougher with Joe Root and Ben Stokes building towards a century stand for the fifth wicket.India have already had multiple injuries this series with Nitish Kumar Reddy, Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep all out of action. Anshul Kamboj came in as an injury replacement before the fourth Test in Manchester.England reached 433/4 at close of the session, leading by 75 runs. Joe Root (121*) and Ben Stokes (36*) occupied the crease having put together 84 runs.
