Cricket: 'One can't be fooled for 5 years', Allahabad HC stays arrest of RCB's Yash Dayal over sexual exploitation allegations
Cricketer Yash Dayal had moved the Allahabad High Court seeking stay on his arrest and quashing of FIR.

The Allahabad High Court has granted interim protection from arrest to cricketer Yash Dayal in a sexual exploitation case. The 27-year-old cricketer was facing allegations of exploiting a woman for five years under the pretext of marriage, with an FIR registered against him on July 6 at Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad under section 69 of BNS.A bench comprising Justice Siddhartha Varma and Justice Anil Kumar-X provided relief to Dayal until the next hearing date. SUBSCRIBE NOW!“You could have been fooled for 1 day, 2 day 3 day…but 5 years…you are entering into a relationship for 5 years…one can’t be fooled for 5 years,” the bench orally observed during the proceedings.The case stems from a complaint filed by a woman who claims to have met Dayal approximately five years ago. According to her statement, Dayal had made promises of marriage during their relationship.The complainant has alleged that Dayal continuously postponed their marriage plans. She later discovered that Dayal was allegedly involved with other women as well.The legal representation for Dayal included Senior Advocate Gopal Swaroop Chaturvedi, who was assisted by Advocates Gaurav Tripathi and Raghuvansh Mishra.The FIR was registered under section 69 of BNS, which specifically deals with sexual intercourse obtained through deceitful means.The interim protection from arrest granted by the High Court will remain in effect until the next scheduled hearing date in the case.
