While Chopra is enjoying the world’s premier tennis tournament, the javelin ace is also gearing up for a massive showdown later this summer. On August 16, he will face Pakistan’s Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem at the Silesia Diamond League 2025 in Poland – their first meeting since the Paris Olympics 2024, where Nadeem took gold and Chopra settled for silver with a throw of 89.45m.Chopra’s form in 2025 has been nothing short of exceptional. He clinched gold at the inaugural Neeraj Chopra Classic in Bengaluru and has medalled consistently across the Diamond League circuit – including a second-place finish in Doha with a career-best 90.23m and victories in Paris and Ostrava.According to World Athletics rankings, Chopra has reclaimed his World No.1 spot with 1,445 points, ahead of Grenada’s Anderson Peters and Pakistan’s Nadeem.
