Cricket business: JioHotstar records 89.1 million viewers for India-England Test; 2.94 billion viewing minutes for WTC Final

India’s first Test match against England at Headingley in July 2025 has set new streaming records on JioHotstar, reaching 89.1 million viewers and accumulating 13.7 billion minutes of watch time. This viewership surpassed the previous record set by the India vs Australia WTC Final in 2023.The new era of Indian cricket under Shubman Gill’s leadership, combined with a revitalised approach to Test cricket, has demonstrated strong viewer engagement across digital platforms. The remaining matches in the series against England are positioned to potentially set additional streaming records.
