India Test Squad Announcement For England Tour Live Updates: BCCI to unveil first Test squad of new era post Kohli-Rohit

India Test Squad Announcement For England Tour Live Updates: Men’s Selection Committee will unveil India’s squad for the upcoming five-match Test series against England today in Mumbai. This will be followed by a press conference.

India are set to tour England which is the start of the new cycle in the ICC World Test Championship (2025-2027).

The series is scheduled from June to August 2025, with matches at Headingley (Leeds), Edgbaston (Birmingham), Lord’s (London), Old Trafford (Manchester), and The Oval (London).

This will be India’s first bilateral series since Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirements from Test cricket this month.

Rohit Sharma concluded his 11-year Test career on May 7, having played 67 Tests and scored 4,301 runs at an average of 40.57, including 12 centuries and 18 fifties.

His retirement leaves a significant leadership gap ahead of the England tour, which also marks the start of India’s ICC World Test Championship campaign.

Virat Kohli also retired from Test cricket earlier this month after a career spanning 14 years and 123 Tests.

During his illustrious journey, he transformed Indian cricket with his aggressive style and emphasis on fitness. Kohli scored 9,230 runs at an average of 46.85, with 30 centuries and 31 fifties, ranking as India’s fourth-highest run-scorer in Tests.
