Smriti Irani said indecent remarks and taunts made by the Gandhi family against Prime Minister Narendra Modi proved costly for Congress in Assembly elections 2023

Union Minister Smriti Irani thanked people of all the states for voting the BJP to power and said, “‘Modi Magic’ has spelled doom for the opposition parties in India.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is nearing victory as the counting of votes for Assembly elections 2023 in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh continues.

“I am extremely elated as a BJP worker that ‘Modi Magic’ has spelled doom for the opposition parties in India. I am particularly grateful to the citizens of all the states that have elected the BJP to power,” Irani said.

“Today’s results indicate BJP’s victory in 2024 general elections,” she said, adding that people have shown immense faith in PM Modi’s policies.

“Narendra Modi’s guarantee is about development. The trust people placed in his guarantee – as BJP workers we are thankful to them,” she said.

Congress’ taunts at PM Modi proved costly for Gandhi family

Hitting out at the Congress, Irani said. “The kind of indecent remarks that the Gandhi family made on Narendra Modi, the kind of taunts the Opposition leaders hurled at him proved costly for the Gandhi family…”

BJP continues to lead in election results of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. In Telangana, Congress is seen dethroning BRS to come to power in the state.

Counting of votes for the Mizoram Assembly elections 2023 was also initially set for 3 December, but it was postponed to 4 December, as Sunday holds a special significance for the people of Mizoram, which is a Christian-majority state.

Assembly Elections 2023 for all five states – Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, Rajasthan, and Telangana – came to an end on 30 November.
