The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has moved into action, coordinating efforts to finalise the updated match schedule. As per reliable sources, the league is likely to resume by Thursday or Friday of this week, bringing relief to fans and stakeholders alike.
The suspension was triggered by escalating diplomatic tensions, which had raised significant security concerns, particularly among international players and franchise staff.
Panic among overseas players stemmed mainly from fears of airport shutdowns and travel disruptions. While most began making arrangements to return home, franchises remained in close contact with their squads to reassure and manage the situation. Now that a ceasefire agreement has been reached, the BCCI is moving quickly to restore normalcy.
All remaining fixtures, except those in Dharamsala, will be played at various venues across India. A notable match between the Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, which was interrupted mid-game in Dharamsala, is expected to resume once the tournament restarts. The IPL Governing Council is currently preparing a revised fixture list to accommodate the changes.
