IPL 2025 Points Table: Latest standings after DC vs KKR match at Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi

NEW DELHI: Kolkata Knight Riders kept their playoff hopes flickering with a crucial 14-run win over Delhi Capitals in a high-scoring Indian Premier League 2025 encounter at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday. Powered by disciplined spin bowling from Sunil Narine (3/29) and Varun Chakaravarthy (2/39), KKR successfully defended 204 by restricting DC to 190/9.
The victory snapped KKR’s three-match winless run and took them to 9 points from 10 matches. However, they remained in seventh position. Delhi Capitals, despite the defeat, held on to fourth spot with 12 points from 10 games, but have now lost two games in a row, making the race to the playoffs increasingly intense.

Earlier, after being put into bat, KKR’s top-order clicked collectively. Young Angkrish Raghuvanshi impressed again with a steady 44 off 32 balls, while Rinku Singh chipped in with 36 and Andre Russell added a brisk 17 to push KKR past the 200-run mark. KKR finished on 204/9, aided by late cameos and some dramatic last-over events.
Who’s that IPL player?
DC’s chase started poorly as they lost Abishek Porel in the first over. Faf du Plessis (62) and Axar Patel (43) stitched a valuable 76-run stand to keep hopes alive. But Narine’s double blow in the 14th over — removing Axar and Tristan Stubbs — turned the game in KKR’s favour. Narine then put KKR on top by removing Faf in his next over (16th).
Despite a spirited 38 off 19 from Vipraj Nigam, DC fell short.
With just five points separating the top seven teams, the IPL 2025 playoff race is heating up.
