Ground Zero: Know The True Story Of Kirti Chakra Awardee Narendra Nath Dubey Who Killed 2001 Parliament Attack Mastermind



The makers finally unveiled the teaser of Ground Zero featuring Emraan Hashmi in lead role. The film which is based on true events, the clip went viral within no time and fans have also given verdict of the video. Let’s know the story which has inspired to make this war-drama.

The teaser of Ground Zero begins with chilling warning from the terror group followed by a depiction of an attack on Indian soldiers which resulted in the loss of 70 lives. The video introduces Emraan Hashmi as BSF Deputy Commandant Narendra Nath Dubey, a real-life hero who led a high stakes mission to hunt down the enemy.

It ends with Hashmi’s character questioning, “Sir Kashmir ki zameen humaari hai ya yahan ke log bhi?”. It tells about the events which happens after the 2001 Parliament attack, BSF Deputy Commandant Dubey, who leads a 2-year probe uncovering the mastermind Ghazi Baba, enabling India’s biggest anti-terror operation. Soon after the teaser was release, fans took to comment section to give their verdict. One user wrote, “What a powerful teaser, this man can do any kind of role”. Another user wrote, “Respect for Emraan Hashmi sir he is excellent actor”. “Mind-blowing scenes”, wrote the third user. Another user wrote, “Ab toh movie dekhne jana padega”.

For the unversed, the BSF officer Narendra Nath Dubey, who led the operation in which terrorist mastermind “Ghazi Baba” was killed, waiting for his turn to receive the Kirti Chakra from the President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, during the defence investiture ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on April 12, 2005. 

Ground Zero is helmed by Tejas Prabhas and Vijay Deoskar, while it has been written by Sanchit Gupta and Priyadarshee Srivastava. Apart from Emraan,  Sai Tamhankar, Zoya Hussain, Mukesh Tiwari, Rockey Raina, Deepak Paramesh and Lalit Prabhakar will be seen in pivotal roles.

The film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.  It will release in cinemas on April 25, 2025.
