Orry’s 1st Post After Drinking At Mata Vaishno Devi Is An Ad On Homophobia | Watch

Social media influencer Orhan Awatramani aka Orry and seven others have been booked for allegedly consuming alcohol and non vegetarian food items at a hotel in Katra, the base camp for the pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district. While there has been a demand for stern action against the accused, Orry, who has been away from social media since mid-March when the controversy snowballed, made his Instagram return with an ad on homophobia.

In the video posted on his timeline, his first post since the liquor row, Orry can be seen discouraging homophobia. The video, captioned, “Stop homophobia,” also features two other people. In his signature humourous style, Orry calls on people stop homophobia. He accompanied his post with the ‘ad’ and ‘psa’ hashtags. While many lauded his message in comments section, others brought up the Mata Vaishno Devi drinking row and asked him to be accountable for “disrespecting Hindu sentiments”.

An FIR has been registered against the eight accused in the drinking row. Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, is a socialite and social media influencer best known for his friendship with several Bollywood stars. He frequently features in photos and videos with celebs like Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor , Sara Ali Khan, Nysa Devgn, Aryan Khan, Shikhar and Veer Pahariya, Urvashi Rautela, Bhumi Pednekar and many more. He is also often spotted partying with them and the who’s who of Bollywood.

Others booked in Mata Vaishno Devi drinking case are Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli and Anastasila Arzamaskina. The Jammu and Kashmir Police said in a statement that the eight accused were booked for “violating the law of the land” and added a team was set up to nab them for “hurting the sentiments of people”.
