Pete Davidson has sold his Staten Island condominium for $800,000, taking a $400,000 loss on the property he purchased for $1.2 million in December 2020. The sale was completed on 13 May 2026, excluding the additional money he spent on renovations. According to the New York Post, the comedian transformed the apartment from its original two-bedroom layout into a loft-style, one-bedroom space featuring bold red accents and a large fish tank built into the walls. Meanwhile, Davidson’s six-acre North Salem estate remains on the market after its asking price was reduced to $2.275 million.

How did Pete Davidson renovate his Staten Island condo

Davidson’s Staten Island condominium underwent significant changes during his ownership. The apartment originally had two bedrooms before being converted into a loft-style, one-bedroom space. The redesigned interior featured an open layout and bold red accents, changing the property’s original configuration. The renovation also included a distinctive feature within the apartment’s interior. A large fish tank had, at one point, been built into the walls. The newspaper’s account included a photograph of the kitchen before it was revamped, with Jason Mitchell Real Estate credited for the image. However, the report did not provide a complete breakdown of the renovation costs or specify the total amount Davidson spent on the work.

Why is Pete Davidson struggling to sell his North Salem estate

The Staten Island transaction was reported alongside Davidson’s continuing efforts to sell a separate property in North Salem, Westchester County, New York. Davidson bought the four-bedroom, three-bathroom property in June 2023 for $1.95 million. The six-acre estate was initially listed for sale in September 2025 at $3.5 million. After the property failed to sell at its original asking price, Davidson briefly offered it for rent at $15,000 a month. According to the newspaper, he subsequently withdrew it from the rental market and relisted it for sale at $2,495,000 in February 2026. By March, the asking price had fallen to $2,275,000.

What makes Pete Davidson’s North Salem estate feel like paradise

Davidson previously spoke about the appeal of his North Salem property in an interview with Mansion Global. He described the experience of waking up in the area as a significant change from living in New York City, where street noise and disturbances had affected his mornings.“It’s literally like living in paradise,” Davidson said, as quoted by the New York Post. He also explained that the quieter surroundings allowed him to wake up naturally without hearing the noise associated with city life. In the same interview, he said that people in North Salem and the wider Westchester area generally kept to themselves, adding that he did not get bothered there. The newspaper also reported that the property featured vaulted ceilings, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, a gourmet kitchen, a covered lap pool with a swim jet, a sauna, a wine cellar, a cold plunge and a detached building containing a gaming room and gym.
