Vikram Reacts To Veera Dheera Sooran Vs L2 Empuraan Box Office Clash, Sings Praises Of Mohanlal Starrer

Chiyaan Vikram and Mohanlal are all set to have face off at box office with their upcoming films Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2 and L2 Empuraan. Despite being from different regional film industries both stalwarts are highly hailed by their fans across India. In a recent conversation, the Tamil actor opened up about anticipated competition.

In an interaction with the press meet, the Thangalaan actor said, “I want it to be a big film because I know every Malayali wants that film to be huge. I am a big fan of Mohanlal. Prithviraj is a good friend of mine, and I am pretty shocked that an actor like him has become a director, similar to Dhanush, and delivered a film like Lucifer”.

He further said, “I hope Empuraan becomes the first pan-Indian film that creates records in Malayalam cinema. I am also happy that Veera Dheera Sooran is releasing alongside it. Both the films are coming on the same day. I am just hoping that Malayalis, who have always liked content-based films, will receive both of them very well. And I’d like to thank you all in advance for all your wishes and blessings. Love you all”.

For the unversed, 9 years ago, Chiyaan Vikram and Mohanlal clashed at the box office when their movies Iru Mugan and Oppam clashed at the box office. Both the movies received positive reviews and became commercially successful in India.

Helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, L2 Empuraan is the sequel to the 2019 hit Lucifer. Apart from Mohanlal and Prithviraj, the movie also stars an ensemble cast, including Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier and Abhimanyu Singh.

Helmed by S. U. Arun Kumar, Veera Dheera Sooran revolves around Vikram’s character Kaali, a provision store owner and a family man, whose involvement in a dangerous crime network and his mysterious mission forms the rest of the story.

The movie stars an ensemble cast of S. J. Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu (in his Tamil debut), Dushara Vijayan and Siddique. Both of the films are set to release in cinemas on March 27, 2025.
