GV Prakash Kumar-Saindhavi Officially File For Mutual Divorce, Ex-couple Spotted Leaving Chennai Family Welfare Court



Renowned Tamil music composer GV Prakash Kumar and playback singer Saindhavi mutually filed for divorce at the Chennai Family Welfare Court on Monday ie, on March 24. A video of the couple arriving together at court and leaving in the same car has now surfaced on internet.

On March 24, they reportedly submitted a petition for mutual divorce in Chennai family court to end their 12-year-long marriage. However, as per reports, the judge has adjourned the case to a later date.

GV Prakash and Saindhavi ended their decade-long marriage for a reason better known to them. They announced their separation on 13 May 2024, after 11 years of marriage. The couple tied the knot in 2013 and are co-parenting their daughter Anvi, welcomed in 2020.

GV Prakash the son of G. Venkatesh and playback singer A. R. Reihana, who is the elder sister of music director A. R. Rahman. His sister Bhavani Sre is also in the film industry. He first appeared as a vocalist on the soundtrack of director S. Shankar’s Tamil film Gentleman. He went on to win critical acclaim for his music in Selvaraghavan’s fantasy action adventure film Aayirathil Oruvan. He made his debut in acting on 2015 with Darling.

While Saindhavi forayed into music at the age of 12 and is an Indian Carnatic vocalist, playback singer. She has sung songs not only in Tamil, but Telugu and Kannada as well. In Telugu, she sang “Maamidi kommaki” in Sekhar Kammula’s film Avakai Biryani, Yedho in Sasirekha Parinayam, while in Kannada,she sang Mussanje rangalli and Beladingalante minu minuguta in the movie Psycho, which topped the charts.
