Robinhood: Nithiin-Sreeleela Action Starrer’s OTT And Satellite Rights Sold To This Streaming Giant



Nithiin and Sreeleela starrer Robinhood which has been delayed for quite some time, will be finally releasing cinemas this month. With cameo appearance of Australian cricketer David Warner and the trailer, the film has already created a buzz. Even before its release, reports have surfaced that the action movie has already acquired OTT and satellite rights.

As per 123 Telugu report, the makers of Robinhood secured the post-theatrical rights for the film. The OTT streaming rights belong to Zee5, while Zee Telugu holds the satellite rights. However, the makers are yet to announce it officially.

Robinhood is an upcoming Telugu language heist-action comedy film written and directed by Venky Kudumula. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, it is all set to release in cinemas on March 28, 2025. The movie stars Nithin, Sreeleela, Vennela Kishore, Rajendra Prasad, Devdatta Nage, Shine Tom Chacko and Mime Gopi among others. While the Australian cricketer David Warner will be making his Telugu debut film.

Recently, during the pre-release event of Robinhood, David Warner was joined by his co-stars Sreeleela and Nithiin. He took to the stage to learn the steps from the Pushpa song Kissik, which was originally filmed on Allu Arjun and Sreeleela. 

The soundtrack and background score were composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, while the cinematography and editing was handled by Sai Sriram and Koti. The audio rights for the film were acquired by Sony Music Entertainment India Pvt. Ltd. Robinhood was set to theatrically release on 25 December 2024, coinciding with  Christmas , but was postponed for undisclosed reasons. For the unversed,  Rashmika Mandanna  was initially set to star opposite Nithiin in Robinhood but departed from the project due to scheduling conflicts. There were also reports of Raashi Khanna being part of the film as the female lead.
