IPL 2025: The opening ceremony of the much-anticipated match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Vs Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 23 at the Chepauk stadium in Chennai. Anirudh Ravichander performed live before the match. While his performance was not telecast for viewers watching the match online, fans who were watching the match in the stadium shared multiple videos of the performance online.

While the videos from the gig are being widely circulated, fans are upset that the performance was not broadcast online. Several netizens took to their social media account to share their disappointment in not being able to watch the performance online.

The opening ceremony of the 18th season of the Indian Premier League was held on March 22. Star performers like Shreya Ghoshal, Disha Patani and Karan Aujla took the stage during the ceremony. The trio enthralled fans with their top hits and dance performances.
 

Shreya Ghoshal kicked off the opening ceremony with a melodious rendition of her Bhool Bhulaiyaa song Mere Dholna, with an orchestra hitting the high notes. She followed it up with a performance of the Padmaavat song Ghoomar, Sanju song Kar Har Maidaan Fateh, Pushpa 2 track Angaaron, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag song Zinda, Rang De Basanti and Om Shanti Om title tracks, Ghar More Pardesiya from Kalank and more. The 20-minute-long performance set the tone for the high-octane tournament. Disha Patani followed Shreya’s act with a high-energy dance performance. She also joined singer Karan Aujla who took the stage to perform on his hits like Tauba Tauba, Softly and Tell Me.
