As BJP inches toward victory in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh, the party’s leader Suvendu Adhikari has asserted that the saffron party’s performance in the three states will have an impact in West Bengal.Speaking to reporters, Adhikari thanked the Bengali community of Chhattisgarh, claiming that their overwhelming support for the BJP played a decisive role in the assembly elections of that state.”I received a call from the BJP leaders in Chhattisgarh, thanking me for the Bengal factor,” he said.”This is just a wave. The real tsunami is awaited. In the Lok Sabha elections, we will witness the Modi Tsunami,” he added.”We will see solid results in Bengal, and the elimination of this corrupt and family-led government here is certain. The BJP workers in West Bengal will celebrate this victory in the three states,” he said.In 2021, the Bhartiya Janata Party lost the West Bengal elections to the ruling Trinamool Congress.Meanwhile, as of 2 pm, the BJP was leading in 113 out of 199 seats in Rajasthan, 161 out of 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh and 53 out of 90 seats in Chattisgarh.Assembly elections were held in five states – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram last month which is being viewed as the semi-final to the crucial 2024 Lok Sabha elections which are due in less than six months.The counting of votes for Mizoram Assembly Elections 2023, which was initially set for 3 December, has been postponed to 4 December, as Sunday holds a special significance for the people of the state, a Christian-majority state.
