Court: State Vs A Nobody is a Telugu language legal drama. The film marks the directorial debut of Ram Jagdessh. The movie has been attracting audiences to houseful theatres ever since its release on March 14. The film emerged as a sleeper hit at the box office, and has recovered more than its budget.
The film explores the POCSO Act and the challenges in the Indian legal system. In the centre of the plot is a teenage romance that leads to wrongful accusations. On March 16, the movie accompanied by actor Nani, held a “Celebration of Audience Verdict” event as the film received an overwhelmingly positive response. Speaking at the event, Nani shared, “I have always believed in two things—scripts and audiences. The script won our team over, and the audience turned Court into a success. This weekend felt like a festival, and I am proud of the entire team. The journey of Court has just begun, and I believe its name will resonate for a long time.”
Court: State Vs A Nobody opened to a decent start with ₹4.15 crore at the box office. The Priyadarshi Pulikonda starrer, went on to register growth at the box office. The movie made ₹5 crore on day 2. On day 3, the film made ₹ 5.65 Cr and added another ₹ 2.8 Cr to its kitty on the first Monday. On the first Tuesday of release, which was day 5 of the theatrical release, the movie made ₹ 2.4 Cr, as per Sacnilk. In the overseas collection, the movie has made nearly ₹32 crore, recovering almost thrice of its budget.
Apart from Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Court: State Vs A Nobody also features Rohini, Sivaji, P. Sai Kumar and Harsha Vardhan among others.
