NEW DELHI: India’s star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra will compete in the men’s javelin throw final at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow on Saturday. The former Olympic champion will be aiming to win another Commonwealth Games gold medal.Neeraj booked his place in the final with a best throw of 79.61m in the qualification round. He finished fifth overall after battling difficult conditions at Scotstoun Stadium and will be looking for a much better effort in the medal round. The Indian ace will face a strong challenge from defending Commonwealth champion Arshad Nadeem, Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage, reigning world champion Keshorn Walcott and former world champion Anderson Peters. Fellow Indians Rohit Yadav and Yash Vir Singh will also compete in the 12-man final.
