Wipro brings sovereign AI services with NVIDIA to service global governments

Wipro Limited has announced new agentic AI services to empower nations around the globe to develop and deploy artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities leveraging its infrastructure, data, workforce and business networks to drive innovation, economic growth and sovereignty.

“There’s a rising demand for ethical AI practices and transparency in AI decision-making processes. By working together with NVIDIA, we will be able to quickly deploy AI agent systems and technologies while addressing the increased concerns many government agencies and organizations have over data privacy, security, and national sovereignty,’‘ said Nagendra Bandaru, President and Managing Partner, Wipro Technology Services.

According to a company communique, Wipro’s WeGA Sovereign AI solutions will be built on NVIDIA NeMo microservices and a wide range of applications will be supported through an Agentic AI powered ecosystem, that can transform citizen experiences in Banking & Financial services, Emergency services, Healthcare and in Education.

The unlocking of customised large language models (LLM) for local languages, would start with Thai and would expand to other languages in India and South Asian countries, including Arabic to deliver accurate and culturally relevant AI interactions, it said.
