Guru Randhawa has been in the news but for all the wrong reasons. The singer, on Thursday, released his new song Fine Shyt. Soon after, the internet was trolling the singer for being misogynistic towards female corporate workers. They called the song “cringe”. However, Randhawa is unfazed by the trolling and took it with a pinch of salt. He shared a video on his social media handle with a note asking the trolls to “calm down”.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Randhawa dropped a video in which he can be seen driving a luxurious car on an empty road. In the caption, he penned a small note addressing the trolling. “Guilty as charged of making songs that repeat in your head forever. Low-key loving the edits though. No bad vibes! It’s just a silly little slang… calm down calm down calm down fam,” he wrote.
On Sunday, Randhawa dropped a photo of himself from his visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, cryptically reacting to the trolling. In the image, he can be seen seated near the holy Amrit Sarovar and wrote in the caption, “Whom Waheguru blesses, no storm can ever shake. When Baba Nanak holds someone’s hand, they only keep moving forward.”
This is not the first time the singer has been trolled for his song. Earlier, he was trolled for his song Azul, which was criticised for allegedly sexualising schoolgirls.
It is a music video, showing Randhawa concentrating on his work in the office while his female colleague dances and sings around him. On YouTube, it has secured the second place in the Trending Chart with 8.6 million views and 180K likes. The song is sung by Guru Randhawa and Yashvi Desai; penned and composed by Guru Randhawa and Gurjit Gill.
