728 drones, 13 missiles: Russia unleashes record attack on Ukraine; Zelenskyy shares aftermath video
Russia’s ‘largest’ drone attack on Ukraine

Ukraine on Wednesday accused Russia of firing its “largest” barrage of missiles and drones in more than three years of the war between the two countries.Russia, the Ukrainian air force alleged, launched 728 drones and 13 missiles. According to Ukraine’s foreign ministry, its air defence systems intercepted 718 of these drones. The mayor of the western Ukrainian city of Lutsk, Igor Polishchuk, said no one was reported killed or wounded. The latest strike beat Russia’s previous record of 550 drones and missiles, set last week. The attack also came just after Donald Trump announced he would increase weapons deliveries to Ukraine, reversing an earlier US policy announcement, and accused his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin of talking “b******t” on Ukraine.Meanwhile, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Kremlin of “continuously rebuffing” all efforts to achieve peace.“This is a telling attack – and it comes precisely at a time when so many efforts have been made to achieve peace, to establish a ceasefire, and yet only Russia continues to rebuff them all,” Zelenskyy wrote on social media.“Our partners know how to apply pressure in a way that will force Russia to think about ending the war, not launching new strikes,” he added.
